About Tony...
Dr Tony Grundy is
a very well known strategic thinker and writer who has been running
executive programmes and been an independent strategy facilitator for
over 20 years. He is a prolific author of seventeen books and has taught
at many business schools. He thus has an unusually broad and unusually
deep knowledge of business.
He has a degree
in Behavioural Sciences and Philosophy from Cambridge, and is a Chartered
Accountant . He obtained his MBA from Cass Business School with distinction,
and has a PHD in Strategy and Finance from Cranfield. He has an MSc
in Organisational Behaviour from Birkbeck and an MPHil from Warwick
Business School.
Tony has a very
pragmatic focus and also a very lively and interactive style on executive
programmes. He is also a very experienced strategy facilitator and coach,
and has consulted across Europe and globally, including work with many
household names, such as: Aviva, BP, BT, BUPA, Diageo, Dyson, HSBC ,
Microsoft, Pfizer, RBS, Standard Life, Tesco and Vodafone. He has experience
across virtually every industry.

He has also
had an academic career for 15 years at Cranfield and is now Visiting
Lecturer in Strategy, Corporate Finance and Governance at Henley
Business School. He has also worked for Ernst and Young, BP, ICI,
KPMG and PA Strategy Consultants. His approach to strategy is
distinctive as it is very much that of being a "Cunning Plan"
(Blackadder).
Tony is happy
to do a value added, short taster session of his strategic tools
for you and colleagues interested in programmes. He can also do
a similar session for diagnosing key issues with these tools,
and his "Strategy Audit " checklists, as a taster of the strategic
consulting or coaching process.
His role is
to demystify Strategic Thinking and help executives to "be
their own strategy consultants". He is also very lively,inventive
and incisive. Tony is always fun to work with and to learn from
/and with: you will always remember it!
